Mike Kindley
Clinical Tissue Therapist

 

Mike is a fully qualified Sports Massage Therapist who qualified in 2005 From the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) HND Dip.

 

He works very closely with Chiropractors and Osteopaths in all aspects of his work, which acts as a big continual learning curve as well as furthering his knowledge with courses and on-going education.

 

Mike uses various diagnostic protocols, which range from Mechanical & Neural testing to observing Movement & Function. This may also include looking at Joint mobility and overall flexibility of the patient which then allows him to treat the patient accordingly and very specifically.  His range of skills include Dry Needling, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation) and Active Release work.  He also uses standard techniques including Soft Tissue Release (STR), Muscle Energy & Neuromuscular Technique (MET & NMT) and using gravity as a mobilisation tool amongst others.

 

He will also set very specific Correctional & Mobility protocols along with strengthening exercises should the client need it, which in a lot of cases helps.  He also provides postural correction homework for patients this may include stretching & lengthening work.

 

Mike travelled extensively including working in Rhodes, Australia and Hong Kong.  This was where he became interested in Sports Massage & Tissue Therapy due to being involved in high volumes of training and sport so felt that maintenance and injury prevention were needed.  He competed in Kick-Boxing, played rugby as well as Swimming, Cycling and now is a keen Olympic Lifter and Wake-boarder so realizing the benefits of Tissue Therapy helping improve performance, recovery and injury prevention.

 

He has worked with people of all sporting backgrounds from high profile Athletes to Power Lifters & Strength trainers, Boxers, Cyclists, Runners and swimmers also dealing with everyday desk posture to people with trauma such as Disc & Knee issues, frozen shoulder and other such ailments.

Born into an athletic family in Hungary, Zoltan took part in sport from an early age and over the years, has dedicated himself to developing his understanding of the human body using an holistic approach.

 

Professional training took place over a five-year diploma covering sports/remedial massage, physical therapy and reflexology style segmental massage.

 

Zoltan constantly seeks to develop his skills and to maximise his potential through ever expanding his knowledge and his through years of hands-on experience.

 

His training at the National Physiotherapy Institute and years of working pitch-side with a premier league rugby team, have led him to believe that restoring balance to the body is key to performing better - physically, mentally and emotionally.

 

He has a natural ability to read the body’s imbalances and restore order to enable his clients to live pain free.
